PSG perpare to make opening bid for Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez

PSG are preparing to submit their opening bid for Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez, according to Fabrizio Romano

Bayern are aware that PSG are making the defender a priority and that a deal is very likely. The Frenchman has had a contract extension offered to him for some time but was always reluctant to put pen to paper.

Given this and the fact the 27-year-old’s contract is up in June 2024, Bayern have given him the green light to leave this summer rather than on a free transfer next year. Die Rekordmeister are hoping to receive €60m plus bonus payments in order to prize Hernández away from the Allianz Arena.

With Hernández seemingly ready to depart from Bavaria, Bayern will now have to make a difficult choice surrounding Benjamin Pavard. Selling Pavard and Hernández in the same transfer window was not an option for Bayern this summer. However, with both players in high demand and asking to leave the club, they may be left with little choice.
