Germany travel to Poland on Friday night, but they will be without Timo Werner and Lukas Klostermann.
Werner, despite improvement, still has a persistent ankle problem while Klostermann sustained a muscular injury in his thigh during Germany’s final training session.
Hansi Flick is expected to change his starting XI considerably with Marc-André ter Stegen replacing Kevin Trapp in goal. A back three of Antonio Rüdiger, Matthias Ginter and Nico Schlotterbeck is expected to remain, but Benjamin Henrichs and Thilo Kehrer should come in at wing-back.
Emre Can is expected to replace Leon Goretzka but Joshua Kimmich will keep his place, as will Jamal Musiala as Germany’s No. 10. Niclas Füllkrug, who appears to be Germany’s undisputed No. 9, will keep his place after scoring against Ukraine on Monday night and Kai Havertz, who also scored in the 3-3 draw, is expected to start ahead of Leroy Sané.
Predicted Germany XI vs Poland
Marc-André ter Stegen – Antonio Rüdiger, Matthias Ginter, Nico Schlotterbeck – Benjamin Henrichs, Emre Can, Joshua Kimmich, Thilo Kehrer – Jamal Musiala – Kai Havertz, Niclas Füllkrug
