Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs RB Leipzig

Borussia Dortmund host RB Leipzig at the Signal Iduna Park on Friday night as Marco Reus and Co. look to go above leaders Bayern Munich, who don’t play Stuttgart until the following day.

As suggested by Kicker, Julian Ryerson could return to the starting lineup after missing last weekend’s 1-0 win against Hoffenheim due to an illness. This means Raphaël Guerreiro would drop to the bench. Expect Niklas Süle to partner Nico Schlotterbeck in central-defender whilst Marius Wolf, who revealed he underwent heart surgery in the Autumn, is excelling and should keep his place at right-back.

Salih Özcan is expected to replace Jamie Bynoe-Gittens to help in midfield as RB Leipzig like to play narrow football. This means Jude Bellingham could play a little more advanced than we’re used to seeing with Marco Reus and Julian Brandt supporting Sébastien Haller.

Two players that Edin Terzic will be without is Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko, both of whom are sidelined for the foreseeable. But Bynoe-Gittens and Donyell Malen provide options in the half-spaces and in attack.

Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs RB Leipzig

Gregor Kobel – Marius Wolf, Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Ryerson – Emre Can, Salih Özcan – Julian Brandt, Marco Reus, Jude Bellingham – Sébastien Haller.
