Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Bayern Munich

Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the Topspiel on Saturday evening with just one point separating the two teams. Kick-off is 18:30 local time.

Ahead of the 108th rendition of the Klassiker, Gregor Kobel labelled himself as fit after missing Borussia Dortmund’s last four competitive games. Edin Terzic also confirmed in his pre-match conference that the 25-year-old is available for selection again. And so we can expect to see him replace Alexander Meyer.

Terzic also stated that five other players would be returning to the squad. Emre Can served a suspension against FC Köln after accumulating five yellow cards and will start in Borussia Dortmund’s midfield alongside Jude Bellingham, with Raphael Guerreiro also keeping his place.

Julian Brandt also returns to the squad following an injury whilst Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko both returned to training in midweek. It’s unlikely that any of the latter two will start, and both will undergo a late fitness test before Terzic makes a decision on whether they make the squad.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens also returns to the squad following a shoulder injury, but is unlikely to start. That means we can expect to see Brandt and Marco Reus support Sébastien Haller.

Terzic did confirm that neither Thomas Meunier nor Gio Reyna would be available.
