Speaking ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Klassiker against Bayern Munich on Saturday evening, Edin Terzic has confirmed that Gregor Kobel and Julian Brandt are amongst the returning players.
“Six players who weren’t in the squad against FC Köln could return,” said Terzic. Emre Can returns after serving a suspension for accumulating five yellow cards, in addition to Kobel and Brandt who have been sidelined through injury.
“Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko were able to increase their program and have been training with us for the past two days but both have been out longer. We’ll see if it’s enough for the squad,” added Terzic, who also provided an update on Jamie Bynoe-Gittens: “We was back on the pitch yesterday.”
There is a doubt regarding Nico Schlotterbeck, who returned early following Germany’s friendly against Peru after suffering a muscular injury, but the central-defender did train on Thursday.
Thomas Meunier (back) and Gio Reyna (cold) will both miss the game against Bayern Munich.
Borussia Dortmund travel to the Allianz Arena one point ahead of Bayern Munich with Saturday’s Klassiker likely to have a big say in where the Bundesliga title ends up in May. Bayern Munich are unbeaten at home against Borussia Dortmund since 2014.
