Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich can go four points clear of Borussia Dortmund with a win against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga Topspiel on Saturday evening and Thomas Tuchel is expected to name the same XI that put six past Schalke last weekend.

Yann Sommer has overcome a stomach bug that kept him out of training on Wednesday and Thursday, but he will retain his position in goal despite doubts. The back four is to remain unchanged with Benjamin Pavard partnering Matthijs de Ligt – Noussair Mazraoui and Joao Cancelo operating at full-back.

Kicker suggest that Tuchel will again opt for Joshua Kimmich in a single pivot with Leon Goretzka on the bench alongside Ryan Gravenberch – two excellent, but different options that Tuchel has at his disposal. That means an attacking quartet of Leroy Sané, Thomas Müller, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman operating behind Serge Gnabry.

It’s a bold move not to play a double-pivot with the attacking quality that RB Leipzig posses but if it pays off, it will be a statement win for Bayern Munich with Borussia Dortmund needing a win against Augsburg on Sunday.
