Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Borussia Mönchengladbach: Thomas Müller to start

Bayern Munich will look to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to four points on Saturday afternoon when they face Borussia Mönchengladbach with both Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund not playing until Sunday.

According to Kicker, Julian Nagelsmann could make two changes for this fixture. Alphonso Davies is expected to replace Kingsley Coman, who has struggled with a slight injury whilst Thomas Müller could replace Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in attack. Expect Nagelsmann to field a 3-4-3 again.

Bayern Munich are still without long-term absentees Manuel Neuer and Lucas Hernandez, but Noussair Mazraoui returned to training in midweek. Sadio Mané is also expected to resume team training in the coming days – the Senegalese forward hasn’t played since November, and will be a welcomed boost for Bayern upon his return.

As for Borussia Mönchengladbach, Julian Weigl is available again after serving a suspension for accumulating five yellow cards but Marcus Thuram and Joe Scally face a race to be fit.

Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Borussia Monchengladbach

Yann Sommer – Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt – João Cancelo, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Alphonso Davies – Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala – Thomas Müller.
