As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez is on the verge of joining PSG.
The total package after another round of negotiations is at €45m plus bonus payments, according to Plettigoal, who also confirms Marca’s report that the Frenchman is travelling to Paris today.
It’s known that Hernandez will leave Bayern Munich, and after a meeting with club officials earlier in the month, the France international told the club that he wishes to leave for Ligue 1 champions PSG. But his imminent move has resulted in some of PSG’s fanbase, including ultra group leader Romain Mabille, coming out and voicing their displeasure at the signing of Hernandez, saying that the defender was “not welcome,” because of his roots to Marseille.
Bayern Munich have found their replacement for Hernandez in Napoli’s Kim Min-jae. The Rekordmeister have already reached a verbal agreement with the South Korean defender and the club are expected to activate Kim’s €50m release clause, which becomes active on July 1.
Another potential candidate for a departure this summer is defender Benjamin Pavard, who does not with to extend his contract beyond 2024.
