Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool and RB Leipzig are close to agreeing on a deal that will send Fábio Carvalho on loan to the Bundesliga next season.
The final details of the deal still need to be finalised with the deal potentially being completed as next week. There will be no buy option in the loan agreement. Leipzig previously had an offer rejected for the 20-year-old by Liverpool, with the offer being deemed ridiculous by Liverpool.
The move to the Bundesliga will allow Carvalho to gain game time in a Champions League club who are likely to be fighting at the top of the table, barring any freak downturns in form.
Leipzig are continuing to boost their attacking options for this upcoming season after the departure of Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea while the future of Dominik Szoboszlai also currently remains unknown.
After extending Dani Olmo’s contract, Leipzig had agreed on a deal for Benjamin Seško of Red Bull Salzburg last summer. while they have also recently confirmed the signing of Christoph Baumgartner from Hoffenheim.
