Leroy Sané available for RB Leipzig clash

After illness, Leroy Sané has been given the all-clear and is available to start for Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig when the Bundesliga returns this Friday, as reported by Kicker.

On Monday, the winger had to sit out of training due to gastrointestinal problems. At the time, it was unsure if the 27-year-old would be available for this week’s clash against Leipzig.

However, Sané has recovered sooner than first expected. On Tuesday, Sané was back at the training ground pictured wearing a hat and gloves. What’s more, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Matthijs de Ligt and Leon Goretzka all returned to training for Bayern Munich all resumed training this week and should be available for selection this Friday.

RB Leipzig are 13 games unbeaten across all competitions under Marco Rose, who replaced Domenico Tedesco earlier in the season. Just six points separate the two teams as RB Leipzig host the leaders on Friday night.

With just days until the resumption of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich are still courting a replacement for Manuel Neuer with the leaders in concrete negotiations with Borussia Mönchengladbach regarding Yann Sommer (34).
