Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach continue talks over Yann Sommer

As reported by Sky Germany, Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach have began talks again over the transfer of Yann Sommer (34).

There has been movement in the talks between the two teams. Gladbach have also received positive signals from Montpellier over the signing of Jonas Omlin who would be the replacement for Sommer. But Gladbach still demands more than the €5m Bayern were offering for Sommer as Omlin would cost more than €8m to prise him away from France.

Both Bayern and Gladbach have no other alternatives. This also comes with the news that Alexander Nübel will stay at Monaco which has resulted in Bayern going all in on Sommer.

Julian Nagelsmann pushed for Bayern to sign a new goalkeeper as they restart their league campaign against RB Leipzig this Friday, whilst also playing PSG in the Champions League on February 14. Gladbach begin their season next Sunday against Bayer Leverkusen.
