Kim Min-Jae set for Bayern Munich medical tomorrow

Sky Germany reports that Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae is set for his Bayern Munich medical, ahead of his move to the club.

The medical is set to take place in South Korea, meaning Bayern’s team doctors have travelled over to complete the medical. The defender is currently completing his mandatory military service in Korea which is set to finish tomorrow.

Once it has been completed, Bayern will then activate the 26-year-old’s release clause, which is valued at €50m. Min-Jae will then sign a contract until 2028 earning a salary of around €12m a year. Min-Jae only joined Napoli last summer for €18.05m, but the Korean was influential in Napoli’s pursuit of their first Scudetto in 33 years and has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The 26-year-old is likely to be the replacement for Lucas Hernandez who is close to joining PSG, while his compatriot Benjamin Pavard is also interested in leaving Bayern this summer.
