Hertha Berlin interested in Leicester City’s Jannik Vestergaard

As reported by Kicker, Hertha Berlin are interested in Leicester City defender Jannik Vestergaard and may be willing to make a late move this winter.

The Danish international is vastly experienced in the Premier League as well as the Bundesliga. Previously, the 30-year-old played for Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany’s top flight.

Vestergaard is out of favour this season and hasn’t played a minute in the Premier League this season under Breden Rogers. For this reason, a move to Hertha seems like the appropriate move for every party.

Hertha will have to move quickly if they are to sign the centre-back before the deadline in a few days’ time.

Bolstering Hertha’s defence seems a reasonable strategy by head coach Sandro Schwartz. Since the Bundesliga restart, Hertha have played three and lost three conceding 10 goals and scoring just once. In reaction to this, Hertha sacked sporting director Fredi Bobic over the weekend
