Eintracht Frankfurt interested in Philipp Max of PSV

As reported by Sport1Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in Philip Max of PSV Eindhoven as they look to strengthen the left side of their defence.

PSV will not stand in the way of Max if they receive a good enough offer for the left-back. However, Max is one of PSV’s top earners and although they may be willing to sell him, they do not really want to let him go. But the Dutch club are preparing for a departure of Max as they look at Patrick van Aanholt of Galatasaray.

Max joined PSV in 2020 from Augsburg and played with Mario Götze for two years before the latter joined Frankfurt in the summer. The 29-year-old has a contract until 2024 and is currently valued at €6m.

Frankfurt have players that are capable of playing on the wings for them with Ansgar Knauff filling the role against Bayern Munich. However, their only left-footed players are Christopher Lenz and Luca Pellegrini, so depth is needed when they are still in three competitions.
