Eintracht Frankfurt set to sign Hugo Larsson from Malmö

Eintracht Frankfurt are set to sign Malmö midfielder Hugo Larsson with the 18-year-old set to sign a five-year contract at the club, as reported by Sport1

Frankfurt is set to beat the likes of Borussia Dortmund and English clubs to Larsson’s signature. Frankfurt are to pay €11.5m for the 18-year-old who will sign a contract until 2028. Fabrizio Romano reports that the medical has already been completed.

The Swedish league has only just restarted but Larsson has featured in every one of Malmö’s games, even scoring in a 6-0 win. The midfielder is not entirely unfamiliar with the Bundesliga having played in both games when Malmö faced Union Berlin in the Europa League group stage.

The signing of Larsson could open the door for the departure of Djibril Sow, who is reportedly interested in leaving Frankfurt in the summer.

This will be Frankfurt’s third permanent summer signing with William Pacho to join from Royal Antwerp while the loan of Philipp Max from PSV Eindhoven has also been made permanent
