Eintracht Frankfurt closing in on Jessic Ngankam from Hertha Berlin

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Eintracht Frankfurt are closing in on signing Jessic Ngankam from Hertha Berlin.

The German U21 international is highly rated by new head coach Dino Toppmöller and sporting director Markus Krösche. There has been concrete talks between both parties and Ngankam is very open to the idea of playing for the Eagles.

The 22-year-old forward scored four goals from 18 Bundesliga games last season as Hertha finally succumb to relegation after years of close escapes.

Hertha will now have to sell some of their key assets and one of them is certainly Ngankam. Should Frankfurt get the deal over the line, they will receive a promising youngster with plenty of room for growth and potential.

Additionally, it will be a huge stepping stone for Ngankam’s career. Should he find his feet at Frankfurt it could lead to a senior call-up to the German team and more.
