Contract talks between Eintracht Frankfurt and Oliver Glasner on hold

Bild is reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt and Oliver Glasner will not engage in contract talks until at least this summer. The Austrian has a contract at Frankfurt until 2024.

There is a reported internal agreement between Glasner and Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche that discussions over a new contract for the coach will only begin in the summer. This is due to Glasner wanting to fully focus on his job. They believe that any form of discussion may cause unnecessary distraction and unrest on the team.

Glasner joined Frankfurt in the summer of 2021 from Wolfsburg and led them to the Europa League final where they beat Rangers on penalties. They have used that as a springboard and are currently fourth in the Bundesliga and have qualified for the Round of 16 of the Champions League where they face Napoli.

Frankfurt travel to Dubai for their winter training camp before restarting their league campaign against Schalke on January 21st.
