Bundesliga Team of the Week | Round 11

Some names are regularly starting to appear in the Bundesliga Team of the Week with their consistent outstanding performances, however we saw some new impressive defensive displays this week which have earned some players their first spot in the lineup this season. Here is the GGFN Team of the week for round eleven.

Formation: 3-4-3

Goalkeeper: Manuel Riemann (Bochum)

Played a big part in earning his side a point by making five saves including four inside the box.

Right Wing Back: Franck Honorat (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

Scored a goal and provided an assist in an impressive victory for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Centre Back: Odilon Kossounou (Bayer Leverkusen)

A clean sheet and a goal for Kossounou and he was impressive with his distribution from the back.

Centre Back: Christoph Zimmermann (Darmstadt)

Zimmerman’s clean sheet contribution included eight clearances and two blocks as he looked assured at the back.

Centre Back: Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)

Just like Kossounou, Tah produced a goal as well as a clean sheet which was a well struck volley into the top right corner after the ball bounced around the area.

Left Wing Back: Alejandro Grimaldo (Bayer Leverkusen)

Scored another stunning goal and is continuing with his case of being the best left back in the Bundesliga.

Centre Midfield: Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig)

Simons has become the first player in the Bundesliga to score and assist in four different games this season. His goal was a lovely effort from outside the box that curled round the defender into the bottom corner.

Centre Midfield: Rocco Reitz (Borussia Monchengladbach)

Reitz had to produce some impressive trickery for his first goal with a turn to get away from his defender and then a dummy before slotting home. Dominated the game in midfield.

Right Wing: Leroy Sané (Bayern Munich)

Provided another two assists as his partnership with Harry Kane continues to blossom in attack.

Striker: Harry Kane (Bayern Munich)

Another two goals from Kane, including a header from almost the edge of the box from a corner which gave the goalkeeper no chance.

Left Wing: Deniz Undav (Stuttgart)

Won a penalty for Stuttgart and also scored after a cushioned first touch into his path to score past Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel in a one on one situation.
