Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in signing Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug in the summer.
The striker is a current topic at Gladbach ahead of their summer upheaval. There have been discussions between manager Daniel Farke and sporting director Roland Virkus about the 30-year-old. Füllkrug is likely to be a replacement for Marcus Thuram who will leave in the summer when his contract expires.
Bremen are demanding between €20-25m but a more realistic fee could be closer to €15m. Füllkrug would like to leave in the summer and sees Gladbach as a possible destination. However, they will also face competition from English and Italian clubs over the signing of the 30-year-old.
Füllkrug is currently the top scorer in the Bundesliga with 16 goals. His form even earned him a call-up to the Germany World Cup squad where he ended up being their joint top scorer as they exited at the group stage.
