Burnley are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund to secure the loan signing of Soumaïla Coulibaly, Sky Germany cites L’Equipe.
As per the report, the 19-year-old is gearing up for a season in the Premier League with Vincent Kompany’s side. The move makes sense for both parties as Coulibaly has struggled to get into the BVB starting 11 since joining from PSG in 2021.
In fact, the youngster featured mostly with the second team in the 3. Liga last campaign, playing 25 league games. However, with age on his side, this is an exciting opportunity for Coulibaly who will be exposed to some of the most fierce strike forces in Europe.
Burnely gained promotion to the Premier League last season having taken the Championship by storm. Coulibaly will join former Borussia Mönchengladbach centre-back Jordan Beyer who made his move loan move permanent this summer.
