Borussia Dortmund’s Mahmoud Dahoud undergoes medical in London

As reported by Sport1’s Patrick Berger, Borussia Dortmund’s Mahmoud Dahoud completed a mandatory medical check in London on Monday with a move to the Premier League likely.

It’s still unclear as to which club Dahoud underwent a medical with but recently Newcastle United and Leicester City have shown an interest in signing the 27-year-old German-Syrian, whilst Brighton could also be an option with the departures of Alexis MacAllister and Moises Caicedo likely in the summer.

Dahoud has also received enquiries from Italy, Spain, and fellow Bundesliga club but a move to the Premier League remains the likely option at the moment. The central-midfielder certainly isn’t short of interest with as many as 10 clubs showing an interest, as reported in March.

After joining Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2017 for €12m, Dahoud will leave at the end of the season when his contract expires. During his time at the Westfalenstadion, Dahoud has scored five and created 17 in 141 games across all competitions.
