Borussia Dortmund name Sébastien Haller in 28-man squad for training camp

On Friday morning, Borussia Dortmund flew to Marbella for their training camp as they prepare for the resumption of the Bundesliga. Amongst the 28-man squad was long-term absentees: Sébastien Haller, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mateu Morey and Marco Reus.

Haller’s inclusion comes after he returned to team training at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. The French-Ivorian overcame two surgeries and chemotherapy after being diagnosed with testicular cancer in the summer, not long after making his €31m move from Ajax.

BVB will host their training camp in Marbella for the first time in two years following a two-year break due to Covid-19. Edin Terzic’s side will play friendlies against Fortuna Düsseldorf and Basel.
