Bayern Munich reject VfB Stuttgart’s first offer for Alexander Nübel

Bild reports that Bayern Munich have rejected VfB Stuttgart’s first bid for goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.

The first offer was reportedly around €500k for a season-long loan, but this fee is seen as too low by Bayern for Nübel. To allow the 26-year-old to leave, Bayern will want a much-improved offer.

It has also been reported that Bayern would prefer to sell Nübel permanently instead of loaning him out. Championship side Leeds United are interested in bringing Nübel to the club to be their number one goalkeeper, but they first must sell Illan Meslier.

Nübel has made it clear to Bayern that he wants to leave the club this summer and both the club and the goalkeeper want the issue sorted sooner rather than later. Nübel has previously met with Stuttgart to discuss ideas, VfB would like any deal completed before they travel to their training camp in Austria on Monday.
