Bayer Leverkusen want a minimum of €40m for Jeremie Frimpong

Sky Germany reports that Bayer Leverkusen want at least a minimum of €40m plus add-ons for right-back Jeremie Frimpong.

Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all shown interest in the 22-year-old. However, Leverkusen have yet to receive any concrete offers. Frimpong’s current contract expires in 2025.

This season, Frimpong played 48 times for Leverkusen as they reached the Europa League as well as reaching the Europa League semi-finals. The right-back was one of Leverkusen’s stand-out players under both managers, Gerardo Seoane and Xabi Alonso, scoring nine and assisting eleven from right-back.

Leverkusen are already in the process of preparing for the departure of Frimpong. They have already completed the signing of Brazilian right-back Arthur. While they have also previously shown interest in Rennes’ Hamari Traore as a senior option

Die Werkself are expected to face a large overhaul in the summer with key players such as Frimpong, Moussa Diaby, and Jonathan Tah expected to leave, while Amine Adli could also potentially depart.
