Augsburg to sign Kelvin Yeboah on loan from Genoa

As reported by Sky Germany, Augsburg are set to sign Kelvin Yeboah on loan from Genoa and the deal will consist of an option to buy.

The 22-year-old is on his way to Augsburg to complete his medical with personal terms already agreed between the two parties. Augsburg’s interest in the attacker is due to them wanting to utilise his speed which their current attacking options lack.

This will be Augsburg’s third transfer of the window and their second striker as they have signed Dion Beljo and David Colina last week. The likes of Florian Niederlechner and Mergim Berisha are set to leave the club in the summer and with the future of Ricardo Pepi also in the air, Augsburg need the attacking options.

Augsburg are currently 14th in the Bundesliga and are one point clear off of the relegation places. They restart their season against Borussia Dortmund on the 22nd January.
