As reported by Kicker, AS Roma hold an interest in Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi.
It has already been reported that the Swiss international is likely to leave Gladbach this summer. What’s more, if the club wish to strengthen their squad this window, they will have to raise funds through player sales.
It was previously reported that the defender has received interest from teams in the Premier League and Serie A. It now appears that one of the questions monitoring the situation is Roma. However, no contact has been made just yet.
Elvedi joined Gladbach in 2015 from FC Zürich and has struggled for form over the past two seasons.
The Swiss is likely to be a number of players leaving Gladbach this summer. Other likely departures include Florian Neuhaus, Marcus Thuram, and Manu Koné. Should all of these players leave, new head coach Gerardo Seoane should have plenty of funds to spend on new recruits.
