Al Nassr are set to bid for Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mané

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr are set to make an official bid for Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mané.

It is believed that the offer made by the Saudi side will be in the region of €37m for the Senegalese international. With talks between the Al Nassr and Bayern advancing to the final stages, both sides are confident that a deal will be made.

Mané’s agent has been in negotiations regarding the details of the 31-year-old’s contract, with the final terms close to being agreed. Despite originally preferring to fight for a place back in Thomas Tuchel’s side, Mané has accepted that his future lies elsewhere.

After coming in to replace the goalscoring exploits of Robert Lewandowski, Mané struggled to replicate the output of the current Barcelona striker. A return of twelve goals and six assists during his first season in Bavaria was certainly a respectable return for Mané, but injuries and inconsistencies have plagued his time in Germany.

It must also be noted that after his clash with teammate Leroy Sané, life at Bayern never quite went back to normal for Mané. With a sale to Al Nassr representing a respectable return for the ageing forward, it would appear that the funds earnt will be placed into a deal for England captain Harry Kane.
