Ajax approach Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy

Kicker reports that Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy is attracting interest from Ajax due to a release clause in his contract.

Guirassy only joined Stuttgart permanently in May for €9m, but in his contract that lasts until 2026, there is a release clause. The clause is said to be worth between €15-20m and has an expiry date of August 20th, however, after that date, the fee could become negotiable.

Ajax have approached the striker’s management about a potential move, but the 27-year-old has rejected the club as he dreams of a move to the Premier League but no clubs have made an approach yet. Other unnamed clubs have also reportedly shown interest in the striker recently.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Stuttgart from Rennes and played a role in helping them stay up through the relegation playoff. In his first season back in Germany, Guirassy scored 14 times in 28 games as Stuttgart finished 16th in the Bundesliga.
