According to Kicker, a loan move in the summer could become an option for Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel depending on his game time under Thomas Tuchel.
Since moving from Rennes in the summer for €20m, Tel has played 21 times for Bayern Munich scoring five times his current role under new coach Tuchel is unknown but Bayern will make sure that his development will not be hindered which is why a loan is now being considered. Tel is currently out injured so was not on the bench for Bayern’s 4-2 win against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
If a loan does come about for the 17-year-old it could signal what Bayern’s transfer plans in the summer are as they are yet to have found a replacement for Robert Lewandowski who left for Barcelona last summer.
For the majority of this season, they have used 34-year-old Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting as their main forward which has proved successful with the Cameroonian scoring 17 times in 27 games for Bayern.
