Wolfsburg yet to receive offer from Fulham for Kevin Mbabu

Discussions between Fulham and Wolfsburg for Kevin Mbabu are ongoing but the newly-promoted Premier League club are yet to make an offer, according to Kicker.

It had been reported that Fulham had made an offer of €10m for the Swiss right-back. Had that been the case, Wolfsburg would have accepted the offer and Mbabu would be returning to England, where he was at Newcastle United between 2013 and 2016.

However, the Bundesliga side are yet to receive an offer. Mbabu is entering the final year of his contract and Wolfsburg would allow the defender to leave the club should they receive around €8m.

They’ve also prepared for the departure of Mbabu with the signing of Kilian Fischer from FC Nürnberg. Fischer will compete with Ridle Baku for the right-back spot.

Mbabu joined Wolfsburg from Young Boys in 2019 for just over €9m. The 27-year-old has played 82 games in all competitions, including 24 times in the Bundesliga last season.
