29-year-old Freiburg midfielder Vincenzo Grifo doesn’t hide the fact that he would like to play in Italy some day but states that his future is currently undecided.
“I’m very happy in Freiburg but you never know what’s going to happen in the future,” Grifo told Sky Italia. “First there are two important games, including the DFB Pokal final, then the holidays and then, if there’s a chance, I’ll think about Serie A.”
With European football already secured, Freiburg still has a chance to qualify for the Champions League heading into the final matchday.
“We still have a small chance,” added Grifo. “We will give everything to win in Leverkusen and hope that RB Leipzig lose.”
With nine goals and eight assists in 33 Bundesliga games, Grifo was disappointed to be left out of Italy’s squad in March and therefore may consider a move to the Serie A.
