Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Marwin Hitz has confirmed he will leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the season after four years.
“Even though it wasn’t easy for me, I have decided to take on a new challenge,” said Hitz via Instagram. “I’m very grateful for the time, the experiences, the successes and especially the games in front of you fans at Signal Iduna Park. Thank you to every Borussian for the support in good times and bad.”
Hitz joined Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer from Augsburg in 2018 and has played 46 games in all competitions. It’s reported that he will return to Switzerland.
