Serge Gnabry is unlikely to sign a contract extension with Bayern Munich

Contract negotiations between Serge Gnabry and Bayern Munich have stalled for some time now and it appears the German international is unlikely to sign an extension beyond 2023, according to Kicker.

The media report believes Gnabry is currently not thinking about an extension as Bayern aren’t willing to meet his demands.

Gnabry wants an increase in wages to a sum that is more similar to Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sané. However, the Bavarians are reluctant to do so meaning the forward’s departure could be the end result.

Similar scenarios to this include the likes of David Alaba and Niklas Süle where Bayern have allowed players to leave if an agreement can’t be met.

Gnabry’s possible exit from Bayern has gathered interest from Real Madrid and multiple Premier League clubs.
