Ajax forward Sébastien Haller is the favourite to replace Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund, according to Patrick Berger.
Dortmund’s board have agreed they want to sign the Ivorian international on a permanent deal rather than a loan.
The centre forward is reported to cost around €35m. However, it’s believed that BVB will have to move on Manuel Akanji (26) in order to raise funds for the transfer.
Haller is a more experienced professional at 27-years-old than the previous strikers who have been linked to replace Halaand’s spot at Dortmund. Some of these include Benjamin Šeško, Adam Hložek and Hugo Ekitike who are all 19-years-old.
So far this season, Haller has scored 21 times and assisted on 7 occasions in 30 Eredivisie appearances.
