Ridle Baku may leave VfL Wolfsburg this summer

Ridle Baku has hinted that he may leave VfL Wolfsburg this summer for a fee of around €20m, according to Kicker

The 24-year-old right-winger has a contract with Wolfsburg until 2025 but is open to leaving this summer.

In a recent interview, the German international said: “If someone comes in the summer and puts a sum on the table, then you think about it and then deal with it.” However, he also added: “First of all, I’m tied to the club.”

The idea of continuing to play in Germany doesn’t seem to fit Baku. The winger explained: “I‘ve been playing Bundesliga for a long time. It makes you think about where you might want to play in the future. I’m open. Going abroad is also an option for me.

Baku admitted that the idea of playing in the English Premier League is “always present” but could also see himself moving to Spain or Italy.

The winger has played 31 times in the Bundesliga this season, scoring three goals and producing five assists.
