Eintracht Frankfurt have no intention to sell Rafael Borré in the winter despite playing a reservist role and interest from Spanish and Italian clubs.
As reported by BILD, Borré’s advisor wants to travel to Frankfurt in the next few weeks to talk to the player and SGE sporting director Markus Krösche about his current situation. Ousted of the starting XI by summer arrival Randal Kolo Muani, Borré was integral to Eintracht’s Europa League winning campaign last season.
Since the arrival of Kolo Muani, Borré (27) has started just four of Eintracht’s 12 games across the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, and has been substituted in eight times – the Colombian has scored one goal across 571 minutes.
Despite Borré’s current situation, Krösche told BILD: “We don’t plan to sell him in the winter.”
Last season, Borré scored 12 goals in 45 games across all competitions but now faces competition from not only Kolo Muani (23), but also Argentine forward Lucas Alario (30). Borré has a contract until 2025.
