Predicted Borussia Dortmund starting XI vs VfB Stuttgart

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Bundesliga when they host Stuttgart at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday afternoon. The visitors finally registered their first league win of the campaign last weekend but face much tougher opposition this time out.

The likes of Jude Bellingham have been an ever-present figure in the BVB midfield and has even captained the side on a few occasions this season despite only be 19-years-old. Bellingham is also the team’s top goalscorer in all competitions at the moment but is yet to register a goal in the Bundesliga. No doubt the Englishman will be in the side again this weekend as he tries to lead by example and get all three points.

In terms of team news, Dortmund still have a long list of players missing due to illness or injury. Both Marius Wolf and Anthony Modeste didn’t travel to Hanover due to illness this week and it’s unclear whether the duo will be available against Stuttgart. The usual suspects of Mateu Morey, Mahmoud Dahoud, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Sebastien Haller all remain on the injury table. However, there’s conflicting reports regarding club captain Marco Reus. Sky Germany yesterday reported that the 33-year-old would miss today’s game but during his press conference, Edin Terzic mentioned that Reus would face a late fitness test. Either way, it’s unlikely that he’ll start.

Karim Adeyemi was sent off late on during the cup win against Hannover but his suspension will only apply to the DFB-Pokal and is therefore available for selection.

Predicted Borussia Dortmund line-up:

Kobel – Süle, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Guerreiro – Bellingham, Özcan – Adeyemi, Brandt, Malen – Moukoko.
