Predicted Bayern Munich starting XI vs Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim have the chance to inflict more pain on Bayern Munich and leapfrog them in the table should then win at home on Saturday. Julian Nagelsmann’s side have finally hit form again scoring 10 goals in their last two fixtures. The introduction of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting as a recognised No. 9 appears to have been a revolution for Bayern who had struggled when playing Sadio Mané as a false nine. A win for the Bavarians will take them within a point of first place Union Berlin who are due to play the following day against strugglers VfL Bochum.

In terms of player availability, Bayern will be missing the in-form Leroy Sané who tore a muscle during the 5-0 rout against Freiburg last weekend. Nagelsmann has confirmed that Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller will miss today’s game while Kingsley Coman is also back after sitting a game out due to suspension. Others including Bouna Sarr and Lucas Hernandez remain on the treatment table. Apart from the absence of Sané, it’s likely that Nagelsmann will go with a similar line-up to the team that beat Augsburg 5-2 in the Pokal this week. Choupo-Moting will surely lead the line again as he has proved his worth in recent weeks.

Predicted Bayern Munich line-up:

Ulreich – Pavard, Upamecano, De Ligt, Davies – Kimmich, Goretzka – Gnabry, Musiala, Mane – Choupo-Moting.
