Predicted Borussia Dortmund starting XI vs Manchester City

Borussia Dortmund can secure a top-two finish in front of their own fans on Tuesday evening as Erling Haaland returns to Signal Iduna Park with Manchester City. In truth, BVB should qualify eventually but to do it against a side such as Pep Guardiola’s City will be a huge boost.

Dortmund are coming off the back of a 5-0 home win against VfB Stuttgart. In that game, Jude Bellingham once again showed just how good he is despite being 19-years of age. “Borussia Dortmund is known for offering young talents the platform to play at the highest level,” said BVB head coach Edin Terzić. “I think he’s the oldest 19-year-old I’ve ever seen. Not only do we benefit from him but BVB is also the right step for him. Jude will have a big impact not only with us but also with the England national team.”

In terms of team news, Terzić will be hoping that Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck and Raphael Guerreiro will all be fit but it’s unsure if all three will feature against Guardiola’s side. Donyell Malen is feeling better after illness and could be available for the game. The same goes for Marco Reus who is returning from an ankle injury. Salih Özcan is suspended for the match due to picking up three yellow cards. The likes of Thomas Meunier, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mateu Morey, Mahmoud Dahoud, and Sebastien Haller are all still injured.

Predicted starting XI:

Kobel – Wolf, Süle, Hummels, Guerreiro – Can, Bellingham – Adeyemi, Brandt, Malen – Moukoko.
