Edin Terzic praises Jude Bellingham after taking on new role at Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund’s Edin Terzic has praised the development of Jude Bellingham (19) ahead of their Champions League game against Manchester City on Tuesday night. The England international has taken on a new role this season and has also been named BVB’s third captain behind Marco Reus and Mats Hummels.

“Borussia Dortmund is known for offering young talents the platform to play at the highest level,” said Terzic. “I think he’s the oldest 19-year-old I’ve ever seen. Not only do we benefit from him but BVB is also the right step for him. Jude will have a big impact not only with us but also with the England national team.

“This season he has a slightly different role within the team. He’s already scored eight goals for us. We’re very happy that he shows such performances. We want to support him in pushing his limits further.”

After scoring against Sevilla on the previous matchday, Bellingham became just the third player to score in four consecutive Champions League games alongside Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé.
