Official | Wolfsburg sign German talent Dzenan Pejcinovic from Augsburg

Wolfsburg have today announced the signing of 17-year-old German forward Dzenan Pejcinovic from fellow Bundesliga side Augsburg for a reported €1.25m. The German youth international has signed a five-year contract until 2027.

“We’re pleased we could convince Dzenan about our pathway and our philosophy,” said sporting director Marcel Schäfer. “He has many of the attributes needed to be able to assert himself in the Bundesliga and is already pretty advanced in terms of his footballing development, despite his young age. He has good technique, can read the game well, can score goals and is also a proper team player. Now it’s a matter of gradually introducing him to the demands of the Bundesliga and giving him the time he needs to develop at this high level.”

Pejcinovic scored 12 in 21 U17 league games for Augsburg last season, impressing coaches which resulted in five appearances for the U19 team, scoring one and creating two. Born in Munich, Pejcinovic is Wolfsburg’s fifth summer signing following Jakub Kamiński, Patrick Wimmer, Kilian Fischer and Bartol Franjić.
