German international Nico Schlotterbeck is set to join Borussia Dortmund from SC Freiburg at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports Germany.
The 22-year-old central defender is having a great season with Freiburg as they seek to finish in a Champions League spot. So far this campaign, Schlotterbeck has made 28 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring four times.
Earlier last week, Schlotterbeck gave his verbal commitment to Dortmund and is ready to sign a five-year deal that will see him earn around €4.5m a year.
Both Dortmund and Freiburg are yet to agree on a transfer fee as BVB don’t want to spend over €20m for the defender. However, it’s believed both parties will come to an agreement soon.
