Speaking to Sky Germany, RB Leipzig defender Marcel Halstenberg could imagine himself ending his career at the Bundesliga club.
“I’ll be 31 in September and I don’t want to play for much longer,” said Halstenberg. “It’s over at a maximum of 35 because at some point I want to end the chapter and start something new.”
Halstenberg has a contract until the end of the season but an extension is still possible with negotiations ongoing: “I think the club can imagine it. They have already signaled that to me.”
