Mario Götze’s arrival could see Daichi Kamada depart Eintracht Frankfurt

The arrival of Mario Götze at Eintracht Frankfurt could signal the end of Daichi Kamada’s career at the Bundesliga club, according to Bild.

The Japan international is entering the final year of his contract at SGE and with both Götze and Kamada competing for the same position in Oliver Glasner’s starting XI, it could see the latter leave the club rather than opting to take a place on the bench.

Kamada is currently valued at €22m by Transfermarkt and so far, Eintracht Frankfurt are yet to receive any transfer enquiries about the Japanese attacking-midfielder.

The 25-year-old has impressed since his €1.6m transfer from Sagan Tosu in 2017, scoring 11 and creating 23 in 95 Bundesliga games but it’s the Europa League where Kamada has impressed. He’s scored 11 and created three in 23 Europa League games for SGE and was an important member of their 2022 Europa League winning squad.

With less than five weeks until the Bundesliga resumes, this will be a deal to keep an eye on.
