Bayern Munich sign German talent Noel Aseko Nkili from Hertha Berlin

Bayern Munich have signed 16-year-old defensive-midfielder Noel Aseko Nkili from Hertha Berlin, according to Bild.

Aesko Nkili played 15 out of 18 league games for Hertha’s U17 team last season, creating eight and helping his side to win the regular season before they lost against Stuttgart in the semi-final of the U17 German Championship.

The German youth international is a native of Berlin and has represented his country at youth level 11 times. Aseko Nkili even captained Hertha’s youth team for one game last season and as well as operating as a defensive-midfield, can also provide cover in central-defence.

RB Salzburg have also shown interest in signing Aseko Nkili.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich want to sign Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt this summer, with the Dutchman also wanting to join the Bundesliga champions despite interest from Chelsea.

A potential stumbling block is that Juventus would be willing to listen to offers of around €80m for the 22-year-old, too much for Bayern Munich after signing Sadio Mané from Liverpool?
