As reported by BILD, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will take his time when it comes to his contract at Bayern Munich. The Cameroon international wants to wait until after the World Cup before negotiations resume.
Choupo-Moting’s contract expires at the end of the season which means in January he will be able to start speaking to other clubs. Per the report, Manchester United are amongst the clubs interested in signing Choupo-Moting as they look for another striker.
Speaking on Sky90, Hasan Salihamidžić said, “We will definitely talk, we would like to keep him.” The 33-year-old joined Bayern from Paris Saint Germain in 2020 as a back-up striker and wants to finish his career with a big contract. Choupo-Moting’s current deal sees him earn €3.5 million a year in Bavaria.
