Lucien Favre set to become Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach

According to Bild, Lucien Favre will be announced as Borussia Mönchengladbach’s new head coach in the coming days.

When the deal is made public, it’s expected that the Swiss coach will sign a contract keeping him in the role until 2024.

Favre previously coached Die Fohlen between 2011 and 2015 where he achieved two top-four finishes.

He will be stepping into the role replacing Adi Hütter who finished in a disappointing 10th position this season.

The 64-year-old has been without a club since he left Borussia Dortmund in December 2020.
