Leroy Sané planning return against Inter Milan

Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané (26) is expected to make a return before the World Cup in November. According to Kicker, the German could return in Bayern’s final Champions League game against Inter on November 1, just under two weeks away.

The Rekordmeister confirmed on Monday that Sané suffered a hamstring injury during Bayern’s 5-0 win against Freiburg at the weekend. Julian Nagelsmann stated that the player would be out for around 2-3 weeks, which means he could return against Inter next month.

Prior to injury, Sané was one of Bayern’s best players. The 26-year-old scored 10 and created five in 16 games across all competitions before picking up his injury.

Bayern are through to the DFB Pokal Round of 16 for the first time since 2019 after coming from behind to beat Augsburg 5-2 on Wednesday night. On Saturday, they face Hoffenheim as they look to close the gap to leaders Union Berlin.
