Ryan Gravenberch will “be one of the best midfielders in the world.” – Julian Nagelsmann

Bayern Munich’s Julian Nagelsmann believes Ryan Gravenberch (20) will become one of the best midfielders in the world. The Dutchman has played just 351 minutes across 11 games in four competitions.

“With Ryan, we had a good conversation two days ago during the week,” Nagelsmann told Sky Germany. “It’s not that easy for a young player to come in at 20 and then only plays 20 minutes. It’s a completely different approach.”

Speaking to Abendzeitung on Tuesday, Gravenberch said: “The situation is not easy for me, of course I want to play but I have to be patient,” to which Nagelsmann told Sky: “Of course he’s said that he doesn’t play much, but he’s not at all frustrated or angry. He’ll be one of the best midfielders in the world.”

Gravenberch was a member of Bayern’s squad that overturned a deficit to beat fellow Bundesliga club Augsburg in the DFB Pokal on Wednesday night.
