Konstantinos Mavropanos refuses to rule out Stuttgart stay

Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos doesn’t want to rule out another season at the Bundesliga club despite interest from the Premier League.

“Stuttgart have the option to sign me. If they do that, I’m a VfB player. That’s all there is to say about it at the moment,” Mavropanos told Bild.

The 24-year-old is currently on loan from Arsenal and Stuttgart have the option to sign Mavropanos on a permanent basis for €3 million but now that VfB have secured their Bundesliga status, this clause now turns into an obligation to buy.

It was reported last month that West Ham United would be ready to pay a fee just under €25m to sign Mavropanos should Stuttgart make the loan move permanent.

The Greece international has played 30 Bundesliga games this season but has also shown his intention to one day return to the Premier League.
